This Privacy Policy explains what information SuperChara (“SuperChara”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. SuperChara is an AI-powered English speaking-practice service. You can contact us any time at support@superchara.com.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email address, collected when you sign up or use Google sign-in.
• Profile & preferences — the goals and settings you choose during onboarding.
• Practice data — transcripts of your practice sessions and the scores and feedback we generate for you.
• Payment information — handled by our payment processor (Razorpay). We receive limited details such as your plan, subscription status, and a subscription ID. We never receive or store your full card or bank details.
• Technical data — basic device and usage information needed to run and secure the service.

2. Your voice audio — our privacy-first approach

When you record a practice session or have a live voice conversation, your audio is processed in real time to produce a transcript and coaching feedback. We do not store your voice recordings after processing. The resulting transcript, scores, and feedback are saved to your account so you can review your history — and you can delete them at any time. We do not use your voice recordings to train AI models.

3. How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
• To generate your coaching feedback and track your progress.
• To manage your account, subscription, and payments.
• To communicate with you about your account or support requests.
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Service providers we use

We share limited data with trusted third-party providers who process it on our behalf to run the service:

• A cloud database and authentication provider to store your account and practice data securely.
• Application hosting and infrastructure providers.
• AI processing providers to transcribe your speech and generate your coaching feedback.
• Razorpay — our payment processor. If you subscribe, you enter your payment details on Razorpay's secure checkout; we never receive or store your card or bank details.

Each provider processes your data only as needed to run the service, under its own terms and security practices.

5. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (your name and email address) to create and authenticate your account. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to sign you in — never for advertising — and we do not share it.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers process data on servers outside your country. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and practice data while your account is active. You can delete your practice history at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing us. Voice recordings are not retained after processing.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent where processing is based on it. To exercise any of these, email support@superchara.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

9. GDPR — EEA & UK residents

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Our legal bases for processing are your consent, performance of our contract with you (providing the service), and our legitimate interests in running and improving SuperChara. You may withdraw consent at any time and may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise any right, email support@superchara.com.

10. CCPA — California residents

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or deletion of it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information. To make a request, email support@superchara.com.

11. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to run the service. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand and improve how the product is used.

12. Children

SuperChara is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above.
